Northern Bukidnon State College Hosted Debriefing Activity for Research Involving Cancer Patients
Another exciting research initiative commenced its Debriefing Session at the Research Conference Room of Northern Bukidnon State College on October 23, 2024. This session pertains to the project, “Beyond the Diagnosis: Investigating the Municipality of Manolo Fortich Cancer Patients’ Profile from a Multifactorial Perspective.”
This project is led by project leader Mr. Karl Clyde Stephen C. Acosta, RN, College Nurse with the component leaders and General Education Curriculum Instructors, Miss Nekka A. Mondaga, Miss Loisel B. Buelban, Mr. Kim-Lee Domingo, and Miss Maria Michaela Q. Jamora. This initiative enhancess the municipality’s understanding of cancer patients through a comprehensive analysis.
This event has brought together 22 barangay health workers (BHW) Presidents from various barangays, five enumerators, and one field supervisor, who played crucial roles in the project’s data collection phase. Their involvement is essential to ensure accurate and reliable data gathering that will inform future health initiatives. The activity is held post-data gathering which happened on August 1-28, 2024.
The program featured a thought-provoking session by Mr. Jo Augustine G. Corpuz, MAGC, RPm, RGC. Mr. Corpuz shared valuable insights on understanding trauma, developing coping skills, and effectively processing experiences. This orientation aims to equip participants with the necessary tools and knowledge before embarking on the data collection journey.
As this research project unfolds, it is expected to provide critical insights to improve cancer care and support in the Manolo Fortich community.
